Ahead of their away Champions League clash with FC Shakhtar Donetsk on 6 December, Manchester City and its Official Fashion Partner, Dsquared2, have announced details of its newest collection. City and the Italian fashion brand, recognised for its detail-oriented tailoring, first announced the partnership in October 2016 and has since seen Dsquared2 dress Manchester City’s players and coaching staff in their exclusive pre-match uniforms for all away UEFA Champions League games. The new collection is inspired by the diverse personalities of the players and is shaped by brand’s iconic silhouettes, fabrics and accessories. Distinctly Dsquared2, the uniforms mix formal tailoring and off-duty denim with a modern style point-of-view. A tailored navy fit jacket features City’s insignia near the notch lapel. Commenting on City’s collaboration with Dsquared2, Damian Willoughby, Senior Vice President of partnerships for City Football Group, said: “Manchester City is particularly excited by this collection from Dsquared2. The collaboration combines the exciting worlds of football and fashion and it’s fantastic to have such innovative and creative partners on board.” To celebrate the arrival of City’s new collection, Dan and Dean Caten, founders and designers of Dsquared2, said: “Our work is shaped by our passion for the game and for the faces of this team, as well as our close friendship with Pep Guardiola. We worked closely with him and the rest of the team to define each piece. The looks celebrate the youth, athleticism, and contemporary masculinity of these amazing and stylish players and their coach.”
